And here is a pic of the photographer, squinting in the very bright sunlight, and not realizing he had accidentally reversed the camera shot, lol.

Logs, March 9

It was an active day, with good conditions on 48 m.  Not as good on 19 m or mw, but a couple of stations made it through.

It was nice to hear Radio Contact for the first time, with a good signal.  Bluestar Radio had a great signal all night, and his usual great show (it was interesting to hear a call-in listener on the air!).

I was also quite pleased to finally catch a clear ID and announcement from Antonio Radio.  He was one of the first stations I heard, way back in March 2009, and he was nice enough to send me a QSL for a very undetailed report of a very weak reception. (This was before I figured out how to record audio files.)  I have been determined to catch his signal clearly since then.

Thanks to all the operators for the very enjoyable radio.

QSLs from Norton!, Antonio and Underground

I got a very pleasant surprise in my in-box yesterday.  Radio Norton was able to confirm my reception on Saturday night on 6300 kHz.  I really did not expect this, since I heard only a few musical peaks, but I was amazed that I received anything since Norton was only using 4 watts!!!

Thank you very much Norton!

Also, Antonio Radio was able to confirm my reception on Saturday night.  This QSL features his homemade transmitter.

Thanks Antonio!

And finally, Radio Underground sent me this very appetizing QSL for my reception Friday night.

Thanks Underground!
