Logs, Nov. 15-27

It seems that winter conditions have arrived in Europe, which means that short skip on 48m is disappearing around 1800-1900 UTC.  Of course, this is just when signals start to fade in here.  A bit frustrating to hear stations closing down just as they start to fade in, but this is all part of the fun of listening from 4000 km away.

Back at the radio ... Logs, November 1

It's been a while since I have had a chance to listen.

Back in April, I decided to build a new deck behind my house.  Huge, job, and I had to take up my antenna feed and dig up my ground rod.  Things were going fine, I had it all dug out, 13 concrete posts poured, and the frame built.  Then I slipped through the frame and hurt my back quite badly.  It was just today that I finished installing a new ground rod and got everything hooked up again.  It's nice to be back.
