QSL from Radio Ome Jan

QSLs from new stations are rare with the poor summer conditions, but I received this nice one from Radio Ome Jan for my reception last wekend.

Thanks Ome Jan!

Sunday 17 June 2012

Log, June 16

Poor conditions tonight.  I could hear carriers from many stations from 2200 onwards, but only one signal faded in.  Perhaps it is due to the auroral zone, which was much lower than normal.  (I could not hear even a carrier from Scandinavian stations).

Artem's World Music Show 7

Artem from Moscow has just posted his latest World Music Show.  This 58 minute show is made available for relay by any pirate station who would like to play it, or you can just download for your own listening pleasure.  http://www.sendspace.com/file/wrib82

This edition focuses on music from Latin America (Puerto Rico, Columbia, Mexico, Guatemala, Cuba), with lots of popular music, as well as a traditional Mexican mariachi  band and a traditional Guatemalan marimba instrumental.  There are also off-air recordings from shortwave stations in Guyana and Guatemala, recorded during his recent holiday in the Yucatan.  Multilingual Artem presents a portion of the show in Spanish.

Enjoy!

Cheers, Terry
