It was another busy night on the radio, and conditions were fairly good (although there was some slow fading on 48 m later in the evening).  Thank you to all the stations for another great night of listening.

The big surprise of the night was the strong signals on the higher bands.  BSR on 9910, Over 60 Dgr.  on 12360 and Trans Europe on 15060 all had decent signals.

Logs, Sept. 6

After many weeks of being away from home dealing with a family situation, I finally got to spend an entire night on the radio.  It was extremely enjoyable and relaxing.  It was particularly nice to hear Baro (this is his 40th anniversary broadcasting!) and the legendary Borderhunter.  Sluwe Vos also put in a good signal here, and there were many other stations with audible signals.  Quite busy for a Friday. :-)

I was very, very happy to receive a eQSL from Radio Totse, from New Zealand, about 16000 km with only 100 watts usb.  My first pirate from down under!  Thanks Dak.

Logs, August 26 (evening)

It was not a busy night on the bands, but that was ok, since I could spend more time listening to each station.  Radio Tidalwave had a good signal and a great show with a variety of music, including some nice classic rock.  Over 60 Degree Radio had a very long show, mostly down in the noise here, but there was a decent peak around local sunset.

I finally got a chance to spend a full night listening to free stations.  It was immensely enjoyable.  There were lots of stations on the air and conditions were fairly good.  As well, sunset has moved back a bit.
